KUALA LUMPUR: PAS Syura Council hosts affirmed that the Islamist Party will separate ties with Opposition accomplice PKR.
The Council Secretary Datuk Dr Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh said any political choices made by the party, including issues on the organization of the Selangor state government, would be given over to the PAS focal council.
He said the choice to cut ties with PKR was made in light of three reasons.
"Right off the bat, this is on the grounds that PKR has not bolstered and rather restricted PAS' Islamic plan, for example, RUU355," told a public interview Thursday.
"Furthermore, PKR has conflicted with the soul of political participation by assaulting the initiative and making false allegations against PAS, thus spoiling the party's picture.
"Thirdly, it has deceived the political association with PAS by working with other people who need to topple the Kelantan government and conflicted with PAS amid the by-election in Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar," he said.
Zawawi later told journalists that president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang was prepared to meet with PKR if the last still needed to keep up a relationship.
